HDR pics are basically 3-5 or more pics of the same subject with different exposure settings so you go from under exposed to over exposed, then tone map the parts with HDR SW into one image.

These were taken with an IR filter when I was in Las Cruces NM in 2008 on a Field Assignment with Harris. The IR filter blocks most visible light but passes the near IR band that the sensor can see.

When in Seal Beach, I usually stayed at the Residence Inn on Katella Ave, which was a block away from a Horse Race Track. Across the street was a bar called "The Starting Gate". One weekend, they had a custom Car Show to benefit one of their customers who needed some help.

Usually, the smog is so bad that on a normal day you can't see the San Gabriel Mountain range from the coast - not today. These pics were taken from the PCH in Seal Beach. Then I went to Telegraph Hill to take more pics while the visibility was so good. I could actually see downtown LA from the hill. Note the working oil wells painted to match the neighborhood.

I had been in DC on Field Assignment for BAE since early May. I later had an officer I couldn't refuse from Harris in Melbourne. I flew back to Seal Beach in late Sept, the movers came and packed me up, then I went to Dallas to close on my house at Terrace Lawn Circle, then to Melbourne to close on my house there. I started at Harris in early Oct.
